If you’ve been reading the Nomada Newsletter for a while, you’ve watched the content change a bit as my life changed.
It started as a travel blog for guys exploring Latin America, and all the degeneracy that entails. Ya tu sabes.
Then it turned into something different. I got the poison out. I started popping out kid after kid. I started thinking and writing about family living in Latin America.
And in 2024, I started buying real estate in the region, with three units currently being built.
The newsletter slowly transitioned to more of a field manual to LatAm living — covering family living, residency, safety data, territorial tax, and where life is actually good down south.
I never planned any of that. I was just writing about whatever problem I happened to be solving that year.
For the last few years, those problems have been where to raise my family and where/how to invest my money.
Answering the family question meant digging into things most travel writers never touch: which cities are actually safe enough for kids, what international schools cost, where you can build a normal life instead of a permanent vacation.
Answering the money question meant fieldwork. Touring units, interviewing owners, figuring out which markets are real and which ones are influencer bait. Somewhere along the way, all that research outgrew what I wanted for this newsletter.
So I built it a home…
Invest LatAm
Invest LatAm is a YouTube channel and publication about buying property and building a life in Latin America, with everything verified in person.
The model is simple:
I go there (wherever that may be), meet the people doing deals on the ground: investors, developers, realtors, residency providers. I walk the actual units and check the numbers myself before publishing anything.
What I’m hunting for: the best real estate investments, residency pathways, and relocation options across Latin America.
When a market has problems, you’ll hear about the problems before you hear about the upside.

The first one comes from Bogotá.
I spent time there with a friend, an American investor named Brandon, who built a 14-unit Airbnb portfolio in the city. We get into the numbers most videos skip: what his units cost, what they gross, and what Colombia’s new political moment means for foreign money.
The second comes from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
Yes, Bolivia. I took my videographer and toured a handful of new apartments starting at $40K USD, in a city NASA tracks as one of the fastest growing on the planet.
Bolivia dropped its currency peg three weeks ago and I was on the ground while it happened. Very few are covering this market in English.
Everything on the channel will look like this. A real place, real prices, filmed properly.
What this means for the Nomada Newsletter
This letter is going quiet.
Not dead, and I may still write here when I have something personal to say, but the regular work now lives at Invest LatAm. I can’t do both well, and I’d rather build one thing properly than keep two things half alive.
Everything Nomada Newsletter became over the years pointed in this direction anyway. Invest LatAm is the same work with a bigger engine behind it: a film crew, a proper publication, and articles that get the length they deserve instead of a section in a weekly email.
How the move works
I’m bringing this email list with me, so you don’t need to do anything to keep getting newsletters from me. Within the next few days or so, the emails will start coming from investlatam.io instead of here.
If you don’t see the first one, check your spam or promotions folder and drag it into your inbox. New sending addresses always start in the doghouse, and moving that first email out is genuinely the most helpful thing you can do.
