Half the girls I went on dates with couldn’t even mutter “Hello” in English and I was forced to use Google Translate more than I wanted to.
Now, this is nothing against the Dominican people…
It was my FAULT.
I was in their country and I needed to learn their language.
It was on that trip that I decided learning a lil’ Spanish was absolutely a requirement if I wanted to live a life of adventure in Latin America.
Which is exactly what I did…
I went from being the broski always having to ask his friends for a Spanish translation — to being the translator for my homies.
